Position OverviewWe are seeking an exceptional Spanish-speaking Residence Manager to oversee the daily operations of a luxury private residential complex in Ibiza. This role requires an individual with extensive boutique luxury hotel management experience who can seamlessly transition their expertise to managing a prestigious private estate for a discerning family and their guests.This position offers a unique opportunity to apply luxury hospitality expertise in an exclusive private setting while building long-term relationships with a family. The ideal candidate will thrive in this dynamic environment where no two days are alike.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest & Family Services- Deliver coordinated, personalised service to family members and their guests- Manage guest arrivals, departures, and all hospitality requirements- Ensure seamless communication between family, guests, and staffStaff Leadership & Management- Lead and inspire a team of up to 10 staff members- Recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain exceptional service standards- Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage at all times- Conduct weekly performance reviews for first month of employment, followed by quarterly reviews, and provide ongoing coaching- Ensure full compliance with local employment law, confirming appropriate work permits are in place etc.- Foster a positive, professional working environment aligned with family values- Introduce communication structures, including in-person team briefings- Effective use of technology for communication with team family and guests- Develop and implement a system of operational procedures to foster a culture of consistency.- Establish a daily procedure sign off system to ensure accountabilityProperty Operations- Oversee all aspects of property maintenance and presentation- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and aesthetic appeal- Manage inventory of household supplies, amenities, and equipment- Coordinate with external service providers (landscaping, pool maintenance, security)- Implement and maintain health, safety, and security protocolsConstruction & Project Management- Oversee ongoing construction projects and property improvements- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification- Manage permits, inspections, and regulatory compliance- Coordinate project timelines to minimise disruption to family and guestsFinancial & Administrative Management- Manage operational budgets and control costs effectively- Oversee procurement and vendor relationships- Maintain detailed records and provide regular reporting to family- Handle administrative tasks related to property management- Ensure compliance with local regulations and employment lawRequired QualificationsEssential Experience- Minimum 10 years in boutique luxury hotel management or similar high-end hospitality role- Proven track record of managing teams- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service to UHNW clienteleSkills & Competencies- Exceptional leadership and people management abilities- Fluent Spanish and good English communication skills (essential)- Strong project management and organisational capabilities- Discretion and absolute confidentiality when handling private family matters- Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressurePersonal Attributes- Impeccable professional presentation and demeanour- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays- Resident visa eligibility for Spain/EU or current authorisation to work- Willingness to live on or near the property (on-site accommodation available)- Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiencesPreferred Qualifications- Experience managing luxury private residences or estates- Knowledge of Ibiza's local services, suppliers, and cultural nuances- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish/other European languages)- Professional certifications in hospitality or property managementWhat We Offer- Competitive salary commensurate with experience- Private on-site accommodation provided as part of the package- Comprehensive benefits package- Opportunity to work in a stunning Mediterranean settingWorking Conditions- Full-time position with flexible hours based on family and guest needs- Seasonal variations in workload aligned with Ibiza's peak periods- Requirement to be available for emergencies and special events- Some travel may be required for sourcing, training, or family supportCompensation RangeSalary to be discussed based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and accommodation considerations.
