Job Title: Laboratory Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Laboratory Manager who will be responsible for the global technical centre, providing required laboratory support to global sales and technical teams to ensure sales development according to company ambition.
The ideal candidate will oversee the development of laboratory know-how, manage projects deliverables (R&D, Innovation, products development), manage the laboratory team in terms of work organisation, skills development, safety, and equipment supervision, and report to the Chief Technical & Commercial Technology Officer (CCTO).
Key Responsibilities
* Support customers across all sales regions, including Building Chemistry, Refractories, Rapid hardening binders, etc.
* Manage the laboratory team by advising and evaluating certain laboratory test methods.
* Ensure laboratory safety, supply, and equipment maintenance.
* Follow up on customer projects, conduct visits to provide laboratory support for sales.
* Understand customer requirements and implement them in research projects upstream customer trials.
* Manage research and development projects with customers and/or external partners.
* Develop product formulations and branch-specific developments.
* Responsible for new product developments and customer expectations, implementing lab test series in coordination with Technical Managers.
* Ensure timely completion of analyses.
* Collaborate in project work, development, and optimization of new and/or alternative binders.
* Prepare reports and support the team in reports preparation.
* Contribute to data preparation for marketing and technical support documents.
* Attend courses and training referred by the employer.
* Adhere to procedures, quality plans, operating instructions of the IMS system, prioritizing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal, and occupational safety.
* Perform other tasks as needed, following priority or order from the direct superior, within professional competence and mental/physical abilities.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree, PhD preferred.
* Building chemistry degree (chemistry, cement, concrete, mineralogy) or related field.
* Experience in CAC applications development (mortars, refractories, mining, sewers).
* Skills in project management, team management, CAC clinker knowledge, mortars formulations know-how, customer support orientation, and building chemistry university academic network.
* Competencies in communication, innovation/flexibility, entrepreneurship, safety, and cross-functional collaboration.
