The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to support our research in RISC-V frameworks and FPGA prototyping. You will work on adapting, testing and validating RISC-V system on FPGA Platform, contributing to the integration of open hardware into new environments. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in FPGA design flows, RISC-V architectures and system bring-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn how open-source RISC-V frameworks are integrated and used on FPGA platforms.
- Support the adaptation of design scripts, constraints and configurations for different FPGA boards.
- Assist in generating bitstream and performing basic bring-up tests.
- Document steps, issues and solutions to help make workflows reproducible.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and validate designs.
Key Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of digital design (Verilog, System Verilog).
- Familiarity with FPGA toolchain (Vivado or others).
- Comfortable with Linux command line and scripting.
- Interest in RISC-V and open-source hardware.
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior FPGA project or coursework experience.
- Exposure to SoC design, operation system boot flow or embedded development.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
