The Category Management Analyst is integral to optimizing the supply chain and driving the success of product categories. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, strategic insight, industry knowledge, and motor background to support our strategic sourcing and category management efforts. The role focuses on leading key category initiatives, sourcing projects, delivering market insights, and developing category intelligence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional data analysis skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to meet category objectives.
Your role:
Category Strategy Support
* Conduct comprehensive analysis of the rotating equipment category to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Support strategic sourcing events with market research, supplier analysis, and cost modeling.
* Collaborate closely with procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to align category market trends and execute plans effectively.
Project & Initiative Management
* Lead or support cross-functional projects related to category optimization and cost reduction.
* Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, including timelines, deliverables, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
* Track and report on project outcomes to ensure alignment with broader category goals.
* Support segmentation strategy in the category and supplier management.
* Assist with KPI measurement tools and tracking.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders seeking category insights.
* Present findings and recommendations clearly to influence decision-making.
* Facilitate alignment between different functional leads to ensure consistent strategy implementation.
* Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier landscapes, and competitive dynamics to inform category strategies.
* Perform market research to gain insights into supply chain dynamics, the competitive landscape, and industry trends for specified categories.
* Provide timely insights and recommendations to category managers and business stakeholders.
Main Objectives
* Manage and deliver recurring and strategic reports:
o Monthly Sourcing Initiatives:
Follow up on sourcing initiatives within the category.
o Monthly KPI reporting:
Consolidate and analyze key metrics and trends.
o Lead category projects:
Responsible for leading projects and aligning with primary and secondary objectives.
o Maintain and update sourcing roadmaps:
Ensure they reflect current supplier capabilities, competitiveness, and constraints.
o Support the category strategy:
Lead initiatives derived from the strategy and coordinate with stakeholders.
Your profile:
Knowledge and experience in technical purchasing requirements and quality related to products.
Knowledge of the pumps environment.
Good understanding of main purchasing areas:
negotiations, supplier evaluation and development, supplier quality, logistics, etc.
Fluency in English.
Knowledge of market requirements.
BS or BA degree in a relevant field with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
Global and strategic negotiating skills.
