Job Title: Piping Engineer (CAD Design)Location: Madrid, SpainContract: 2–4 months, ASAP startAbout the Role:We are looking for x 4 experienced Piping Engineers to join a short-term project focused on updating and finalizing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;) for a process facility.This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to translate client feedback into accurate and complete engineering diagrams.Key Responsibilities:
- Review existing P&IDs; and update them based on client feedback and technical requirements.
- Specify and validate equipment such as pumps, valves, pipes, and heat exchangers.
- Ensure all changes are accurately reflected in the P&ID; and fully compliant with process engineering standards.
- Collaborate closely with the project lead and other engineers.
- Conduct occasional site visits (up to 2 hours from Madrid) to verify layouts or specifications.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the project.Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer / Piping Engineer.
- Experience in distilling is preferred; oil & gas, FMCG, chemical, pharmaceutical or similar industries considered.
- Strong knowledge of creating and modifying P&IDs.;
- Strong 2D CAD experience (Autocad)
- Hands-on experience specifying pumps, pipes, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Ability to work from the Madrid office.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.Desirable:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced project environment with multiple P&ID; revisions.
- Experience working in small, collaborative teams.
