We are currently looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong Backend focus and Java/OOP skills to join our team. Responsibilities include writing test-covered code, participating in peer code reviews, ensuring smooth CI/CD deployment, and following Agile methodologies.
Evolve and build micro services (Java) with performance and scalability in mind
Be the owner of your code and responsible for pushing it to production.
Follow Agile values and principles. Be data driven. We don’t like wasting time with manual, error-prone deployment work.
Demonstrable experience with OOP and message broker architecture (extra kudos for Java).
SQL knowledge (extra kudos for Oracle).
Experience working with cloud-native environments (extra kudos for GCP and Kubernetes).
Experience with performance tuning and analysis tools.
Academic background in Computer Science or STEM fields is OK but not exclusive.
You create or control a situation rather than just responding to it after it has happened.
You feel comfortable working with Git (or any other distributed version control system) .
You have solid verbal and written English communication skills.
Prefer proven experience developing transactional, high-volume eCommerce, hosted web applications.
