A day in the life…
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to manage our Independent customers in Melbourne South-East & designated regional areas.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven State Territory Manager to join our dynamic sales team.
As a State Territory Manager you will be accountable for driving sales growth through optimal distribution and physical availability of our brands across prime in-store locations.
Additionally, you will drive the quality of store displays, deliver excellent execution and build influential relationships with key stakeholders to deliver incremental business and category growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Being a team player and working amongst a driven team
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory
* Introducing in new lines, driving distribution, perfect in store display building/ standards
* Conduct face to face meetings with stand-alone and multi-site customers to understand their needs.
* Present product offerings and negotiate upselling to all customers.
* Build strong relationships within your portfolio of customers.
* Accurate & timely reporting of activities
Regional Travel Requirements
* The State Territory Manager role requires consistent travel within your defined territory
* Travel will include approximately 2-4 nights away from home (Seymour to Albury, Lorne to Warrnambool) every 6-8 weeks
What will make you successful?
* Sales Experience in the FMCG industry, preferably within the food sector with an understanding of how independent & chain grocery channels operate
* Outgoing, approachable and passionate about sales, as you manage the territory as if it's your own business across your various grocery customers
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively
* Ability to work independently and manage and plan time effectively
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Previous experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
* Able to travel and stay away from home every 6-8 weeks for 2-4 nights each trip
* This position requires a valid Full Driver's Licence
* Willingness to be on the road Mon-Fri within the assigned territory
(It's essential to be physically capable of lifting stock to construct displays and utilise Lindt's premium point-of-sale materials and will be required to complete a pre-employment fitness process for the role)
