As a Workday HCM Analyst specializing in Compensation, you will play a key role in configuring, maintaining, and improving our compensation and performance management processes. You will be responsible for configuring and supporting the Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules in Workday, collaborating with HR teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency, and implementing new features and optimizing existing processes.
What you will do
* Set up and maintain Workday's Advanced Compensation features, including bonus plans, merit cycles, and eligibility rules.
* Act as the principal subject‑matter expert in Workday Compensation, owning solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and governance.
* Prepare, manage, and run our annual global compensation processes.
* Review and implement new Workday features with a strong focus on automation and optimized user experience.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex Workday issues in both Compensation and HCM, ensuring operational continuity during critical cycles.
* Contribute to Workday reporting and analytics, with a focus on Compensation.
* Work with Business Process Owners to recommend and implement enhancements and best practices that automate, build efficiencies, enable self‑service, and eliminate manual processes.
* Support the assigned functional areas including gathering user requirements, design, configuration, coordination of user tests, and implementation in production.
* Analyze Workday bi‑annual releases to perform non‑regression tests, assess the impact on existing configuration and suggest new enhancements.
* Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and create reports/dashboards for leadership decision‑making.
* Maintain security domains and security groups, including assignments to users.
* Build audits and alerts to check data quality, identify discrepancies and establish plans to address them.
* Coordinate with the other Workday module owners to ensure a shared governance and alignment among all modules.
* Act as functional expert and operational contact to provide user support.
* Maintain documentation for employees, managers, HR and the Workday team.
* Assist in the development of a change process, communication and training.
* Conduct monthly HR Community meetings and weekly meetings with regional HR referents.
* Ticket management (bugs, questions, evolutions).
Qualifications
* Ideally 5+ years of experience as a Workday Business Analyst, specializing in the Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules.
* Experience configuring and managing compensation and performance management processes.
* Good understanding of HR processes and ability to maintain confidential information.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Experience working in an international environment.
* Customer‑service mindset and approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Expertise in compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity).
* Analytical, tech‑savvy and data‑driven mindset.
* Ability to translate complex business requirements into system configurations.
* Knowledge of Core HCM, reporting, and security within Workday.
