A growing international company in the logistics and supply chain sector is looking for a Corporate Accountant specialized in Fixed Assets to join its expanding finance team in Barcelona. This is a strategic role managing fixed assets accounting across multiple European markets.
You’ll play a key part in overseeing the full asset lifecycle — from capitalization to retirement — and ensuring compliance with international standards. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and internal audit.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounting operations related to fixed assets across Europe
Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger and ensure timely, accurate entries
Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts
Oversee asset capitalization and retirement processes
Support audits by preparing relevant documentation
Assist with intercompany transactions and internal financial loans
Partner with teams to track capital projects and cost allocation
Contribute to CapEx budgeting and forecasting
Report to senior finance stakeholders on asset-related matters
4–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 focused on fixed assets
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
Experience in an international, preferably US-based, corporate environment
Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP
Fluent English (written and spoken) – essential
Basic Spanish; other European languages are a plus (e.g., Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, German)
SAP or ERP system knowledge is highly valued
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive
