Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Responsible for repairs, maintenance, upkeep, and replacement of the property's electrical systems, in accordance with hotel standards and compliance with inspection codes.Participate in preventive maintenance of all building equipment, guestrooms, meeting rooms, ballrooms, and hotel areas (kitchens, stewarding, restaurants, outlets, fitness center, pool, etc.).Assist in other engineering areas as assigned.Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.Understand systems such as electrical distribution, fire safety, HVAC, and more.Respond promptly to guest needs, resolve complaints, and maintain positive guest relations.Work Operations:
Receive and review daily work assignments, organize tools and materials, and maintain schedules.Check work orders and maintenance logs for issues, perform rounds, and address safety concerns.Schedule and perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with other departments.Maintain inventory of electrical supplies and perform repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, motors, and panels.Provide electrical support for banquets and special events.Perform preventative maintenance on emergency and safety equipment.Assist other trades (carpenter, painter, plumber, etc.) as needed.Maintain knowledge of latest electrical techniques and ensure safety and cleanliness of work areas.Qualifications:
Two to three years as a licensed journeyman electrician.Certification or specialized training seminars.Proficient in electrical repairs, maintenance, and installation.Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and safety codes.Fluency in English, both verbal and written.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.Additional Information:
