Cybersecurity Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Architect to join our Information Security team. This role serves as the critical bridge between business units, enterprise architecture, and security engineering to design and implement cybersecurity solutions that protect the institution’s assets, data, and reputation.
As a Cybersecurity Architect in our institution, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our customers’ trust and enabling the banks’ strategic initiatives. Strategic Liaison & Solution Design
Partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technology teams to understand business objectives and translate them into secure architectural solutions.
Ensure security solutions align with the institution’s enterprise architecture principles, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory obligations.
Provide expert input during solution design reviews to ensure secure-by-design principles are applied.
Security Review Management
Oversee and prioritize incoming requests for security architecture and design reviews.
Conduct timely, thorough, and high-quality security assessments of proposed systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Ensure process is followed to document and justify the security review, in compliance with our internal process, ensuring quality documentation to satisfy oversight by regulators and oversight.
Document and communicate recommendations, security gaps, and remediation actions in clear, business-friendly language.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology Management, or equivalent field. – Required.
* Years of experience in information security, with at least years in a security architecture or equivalent role.
Experience in the financial services sector. Strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of security architecture frameworks (e.G., SABSA, TOGAF, NIST CSF).
Expertise in network security, application security, identity and access management, encryption, and cloud security.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to financial institutions (e.G., FFIEC, GLBA, PCI-DSS, SOX).
Strong business acumen with the ability to balance risk, compliance, and operational needs.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven leadership abilities in managing projects, resources, and stakeholder relationships.

* Alignment of proposed solutions with enterprise and security standards.

* Stakeholder satisfaction with cybersecurity architecture services.
Certifications
* PMP: Project Management Professional – Preferred.

Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
Experience in Microsoft Office products.
