Your mission: Provide effective Health, Safety and Environment leadership at the site in Sanchidrián, Ávila. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry best practices, lead the implementation of Corporate Policies and Standards, and support the development of group policies to safeguard the wellbeing of employees, safety of people, equipment and facilities, and reduce environmental impact.
Responsibilities
* Lead Health, Safety and Environment at the site.
* Implement Rovensa’s Health and Safety vision and corporate strategy in line with local activity plans;
help build local strategies.
* Monitor and communicate corporate KPIs and define local KPIs for HSE.
* Develop and implement Behavioural Safety programmes with management and disseminate to all employees.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and developments affecting the site.
* Identify training needs related to health, safety and environment;
develop and deliver training for managers and frontline employees.
* Lead and maintain contractor safety and environment effort;
assist in development of contractor work plans and monitor compliance.
* Conduct safety observations and audits to evaluate HSE behaviours, systems and procedures;
identify and implement improvements.
* Collect, store and analyse accident and health and safety data;
produce management reports, identify trends and recommend actions.
* Investigate accidents or assist investigations;
document findings and actions to prevent recurrence.
* Define and implement emergency response actions;
ensure drills involve external authorities when appropriate.
* Ensure safe equipment in accordance with regulations;
coordinate external health services.
* Reduce environmental footprint by improving processes, behaviours and materials;
coordinate site waste management.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree or equivalent.
* 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industry.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
* Ability to make operational decisions and escalate strategic ones;
manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
* Fluent in English and Spanish;
Portuguese is a plus.
* Strong presentation and communication skills;
able to simplify and clearly convey technical information.
* Proactive in resolving issues using initiative and research;
resilient, adaptable and open-minded.
