Overview The QA Engineer position belongs to the Product Engineering and QA Area of the Engineering and Operations Department. He/she will be responsible for the validation and system level testing of the new software and hardware developments before deploying them into production, the technical documentation and certification of the product portfolio, and the validation processes of the End-of-Line, supporting the production line staff.
Responsibilities Define and perform the validation procedures and tests for new designs, software versions, application or testing setups and modifications of the current products before production deployment.
Define, improve and document the Standard Procedures for the calibration, adjustment and validation of the manufactured power converters performed by the Validation Technicians of the Production Line.
Automate the calibration, adjustment and validation procedures of the production line to optimize processing times and quality of the manufactured converters.
Provide technical support and guidance to the Production Line Technicians, especially when problems arise during the validation process of the manufactured units.
Diagnose and repair power converters presenting failures during the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with the Technical Support Team and External Partners to: analyze and solve technical issues of the products
improve the tools to validate the electronic boards designed by Cinergia
diagnose electronic boards which have presented issues during the validation processes
Elaborate technical reports.
Other tasks assigned by the Managers of the Engineering & Operations Department.
What we expect from you Bachelor’s or MSc degree in electrical/electronics engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
More than 5 years working as a validation, calibration or field service/commissioning engineer of electrical/electronic equipment.
Good command of basic electrical instrumentation, especially oscilloscopes, power meters and data loggers.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Structured and meticulous mindset.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good level of spoken and written English.
Competent use of standard office applications, such as the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, and common email platforms.
It will be a plus if you also have a good command of:
Power Electronics Foundations.
Programming for testing automation, especially Labview or Python.
Metrology techniques for electrical calibration.
Communications (computer networks, SPI, ETH, FO, TCP/IP, Internet).
Project Management systems (Redmine).
