**Role / Description**
We are looking for a technically driven Business Development Engineer to join our advanced engineering and manufacturing team. This is a key commercial role at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing and strategic customer partnerships.
**Responsibilities / What you will do**
- Identify, qualify and win new business opportunities across automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence, rail, marine and other advanced industries.
- Translate complex engineering solutions (design, simulation, test & validation, additive manufacturing) into clear value propositions for decision-makers.
- Engage in technical discussions with engineers and commercial negotiations with procurement and leadership teams.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposal creation, contract negotiation and closing.
- Work with technical teams to shape tailored solutions that align with client requirements, including performance, cost and delivery.
- Support preparation of bids, proposals and technical-commercial documentation.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting in CRM/ERP systems.
- Represent Outrigo at industry events, trade fairs and client workshops.
- Actively monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to refine strategy.
- Serve as the primary post-sales contact, ensuring smooth onboarding and adoption of the product.
- Monitor customer usage and satisfaction, identifying opportunities to maximize value.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to inform potential product improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (support, technical and sales) to resolve customer issues promptly.
- Drive renewals, upsells and long-term customer loyalty through proactive engagement.
**Experience / Who you are**
- Degree in Engineering, Business Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, business development or customer-facing engineering roles.
- Proven ability to explain technical solutions in business terms and align them to customer needs.
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers or technology companies in relevant sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English; additional languages a plus.
- Ability to travel to client sites and international events.
- Previous experience selling high-value engineering services, simulation software, or additive manufacturing solutions.
- Knowledge of defence procurement frameworks, aerospace certification pathways or automotive supplier programmes.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales methodologies.
