Role Mission
The Head of Futures owns the end‑to‑end development, quality, and growth of the futures category at PFM, ensuring it becomes the most trusted, accurate, and insightful resource for futures prop trading globally. This role is responsible for setting the standard for how futures firms are researched, compared, presented, and understood – combining deep domain expertise with strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate insights into high‑impact content and product improvements.
Responsibilities
* Build the most trusted and accurate futures knowledge layer (first 90 days → ongoing).
* Establish PFM as the most reliable source of truth for futures prop trading.
* Deeply research futures prop firms (rules, pricing models, payouts, nuances); identify inconsistencies, hidden constraints, and edge cases others miss.
* Create internal standards for evaluating and comparing firms; eliminate inaccuracies, gaps, and low‑quality content.
* Own and elevate all futures content and narrative. Turn insights into high‑quality content across SEO, social, and educational channels; define tone, depth, and quality bar; translate complex trading concepts into clear, actionable insights and improve content performance through clarity, authority, and differentiation.
* Redefine how futures firms are presented and compared on the platform. Move from static comparison to an insight‑driven product experience; improve structure, frameworks, filters, and comparison logic; reflect what matters to traders; collaborate with Product to implement improvements.
* Drive continuous innovation in data, insights, and presentation. Identify new ways to present data, comparisons, and insights; experiment with formats; introduce ideas competitors are not thinking about.
* Take full ownership of the futures category performance. Monitor traffic, engagement, and conversions; identify gaps and opportunities for growth; prioritize work based on impact; act as internal authority on everything futures‑related.
Requirements
* Domain expertise: deep understanding of futures trading and/or prop trading ecosystem; knowledge of rules, funding models, payouts, restrictions; ability to spot nuances and edge cases.
* Analytical and research capability: break down complex systems and compare them logically; experience working with structured data, comparisons, or research‑heavy environments; high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Content and communication: turn complex insights into clear, high‑quality written content; strong writing skills – clarity, structure, precision; experience creating educational, SEO, or analytical content.
* Product thinking: think beyond content – how information is structured and presented; experience influencing product decisions; understanding of user behavior and decision‑making.
* Ownership mindset: high ownership, strong judgment; knows what matters and what doesn’t; comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from scratch.
