Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Regional Sales Manager North West Europe / Iberia to join our team in Madrid, Spain.
Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will maximise the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised hotels of all brands within their territory with a focus on developing sales opportunities, customer account management, and driving contribution to the hotels within the region(s) they are responsible for.
The region includes North West Europe / Iberia, with a focus on Iberia and the UK. They will create opportunities to manage and develop existing National and Regional Accounts and focus on developing new business accounts across all market segments to drive contribution to a defined set of hotels.
This position requires a sales approach, acting in partnership with clients and travel intermediaries, to deliver incremental revenue and increase market share for hotels, franchise partners, and WHR.
Key Responsibilities
1. Devise, implement, and manage sales plans for top clients.
2. Negotiate and contract rates for key clients across all segments within the designated region.
3. Manage group leads and RFP solicitations through Wyndham Sales Systems.
4. Achieve revenue targets based on room night production, RFP acceptances, and other metrics.
5. Conduct at least 25 sales appointments or calls monthly.
Sales Account Management & Business Development
* Identify and secure new accounts within the territory, building a robust pipeline with specific revenue and room night targets.
* Develop strategic partnerships with leisure tour operators, corporate clients, travel agencies, and MICE companies to maximize hotel revenue.
Franchisee Relations
* Collaborate with franchise and management partners to understand their needs and educate them on WHR tools.
Internal Relations & Systems
* Work with all WHR units to support company success, utilizing available business tools effectively.
Industry Participation
* Represent WHR at industry events and become active in relevant associations.
Self-Development
* Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and prepare for future roles.
Complexity and Scope
* Drive significant revenue within an assigned territory, managing accounts independently and remotely.
* Responsible for managing expenses and achieving ROI on business trips and marketing efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong sales knowledge in hospitality within the territory.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
* Fluency in English; Spanish language skills are an advantage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales systems.
* Full driving license preferred.
Experience and Education
* Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in hospitality or a related field.
* Significant hotel sales experience, including multi-segment knowledge.
