As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll be the technical guardian ensuring the seamless operation of global cloud systems, applying your electrical and mechanical skills to maintain the heartbeat of technological innovation.Responsibilities SAFETY: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE: Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPSs, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, automatic transfer switches (ATSs), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Transformers. Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.). Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations). Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night). Work at heights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with ear protection.
