The role of the BD Search & Evaluations Manager, Sandoz International Region is to search for and evaluate high-value small-molecule partnering opportunities to deliver accelerated growth for International Region. It includes scouting, evaluation and prioritization of potential BD deal partners through robust technical and financial evaluation of deal opportunities, deal partner triage, selection and endorsement.
Your responsibilities will include
- Lead key regional Search & Evaluation (S&E;) projects to define best source for Business Development deals by searching for, evaluating and developing recommendations for BD and DD functions as per International Region portfolio targets.
- Develop a framework to evaluate and prioritize opportunities including strategic International focus areas, technical and financial criteria in alignment with functions such as Business Development, External Supply Organization (ESO) and Procurement.
- Maintain an overview of partner’s current product portfolio offering to ensure efficient execution of S&E; projects in line with portfolio growth objectives, including ability for Sandoz to secure product rights for first-to-market launches and insights on previous performance
- Find creative solutions for difficult-to-make/source products (e.g., co-developments, distribution arrangements) and proactively bring suggestions to BD managers
- Handover projects to BD team members responsible for deal execution and support throughout the process as needed
- Engage in industry networking activities to form value-creating partnerships and cooperations to expand number of potential partners for Sandoz

Minimum Requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
University Degree in Science and/or Business Degree; scientific background desirable
Fluency in English required and other regional languages desirable (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese)
- 5+ years’ experience in business development or financial valuation roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong financial modelling and valuations skills
- Experience interacting with third parties across geographies, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
