Position Specific Description
This position will be located near Robards, Kentucky.
Role: The PV Solar & Battery Technician III will support the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery storage systems located at Sebree II near Robards, Kentucky. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will ensure optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine inspections of PV solar systems to identify and address maintenance or performance issues.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including cleaning panels, replacing faulty components, and conducting tests to ensure optimal system performance.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures using technical knowledge and monitoring tools.
* Collaborate with the operations team to implement and execute maintenance plans and procedures.
* Coordinate with the construction team during installation and commissioning of new solar projects.
* Generate reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in solar technology and maintenance techniques.
Job Overview
The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the proper execution of PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties in safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.
