As a Quality Engineer in the automotive sector, you will be responsible for developing a plan and implementing a systematic approach to ensure that all defined automotive standards, practices, procedures, and methods are adhered to by management.
Job Description
1. Receive and channel complaints regarding customer quality, either through customer portals or the company's formats.
2. Analyze incidents and quantify defectiveness, applying appropriate corrective and preventive actions to close them.
3. Know techniques of product planning and development, as well as the use of automotive sector tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, 5 Why, 5S, 8D, etc.), including knowledge and proven application of statistical techniques (6 sigma).
4. Systematically access and supervise customer portals to verify the overall customer assessment of the company, communicating these assessments to the organization to identify causes for improvement or corrective actions in case of deviations.
5. Must be available to travel and stay for short periods at client locations.
The Successful Applicant
1. Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in the automotive sector in quality engineering functions related to customer quality.
3. Fluent in English or French.
4. Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
5. Hands-on experience with modern manufacturing, material flow, and improvement strategies (e.G., ELS, continuous flow, cellular) and the ability to integrate these into operations.
6. Strong knowledge of production processes, assembly techniques, and quality control principles.
7. Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
8. Ability to work under pressure, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines.
