Quality Department - Manufacturing
Johnson Controls - Hitachi Air Conditioning was established on October 1, 2015, as a joint venture between Hitachi Appliances, Inc. (now Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc.) and Johnson Controls, Inc. Hitachi Appliances contributed its air conditioning business to the joint venture.
Johnson Controls acquired a 60% stake in the separate business, with Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc. remaining a 40% shareholder.
This joint venture combines two rich cultures and histories of over 100 years to create an exciting new company, serving our combined customers with the most diverse product portfolio in the air conditioning industry.
What will be your role?
The Quality Department covers a wide range of activities within the company and needs to incorporate a Manufacturing Quality Manager. You will lead, establish, and empower teams and improvement projects to achieve product quality standards, ensuring high customer satisfaction and minimizing costs related to non-quality.
What will be your responsibilities?
* Integrate into the factory team as the quality representative for the plant.
* Define and coordinate manufacturing quality for new product introductions (NPI).
* Ensure implementation of the Johnson Manufacturing System at level 5.
* Implement continuous improvement using 8D, A3, Six Sigma methodologies.
* Develop technical documentation for new product implementation or improvement of existing ones.
* Coordinate with production, engineering, and material control departments to establish protocols during product and/or design changes.
* Participate in internal/external audits for ISO, UL, Eurovent, and others.
* Address market problems post-product launch and monitor product performance.
* Establish resource needs in terms of personnel and equipment control in the plant.
What profile do we need?
* Engineering degree with experience leading quality in similar companies.
* Intermediate to high level of English.
* Experience in team leadership, knowledge of 8D, A3, Six Sigma methodologies is valued.
* Previous knowledge of electrical concepts, electrical safety, air conditioning equipment, pressure equipment, and mechanical assembly concepts is valued.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Knowledge of SAP S4/Hana is valued.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience.
