This individual will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. The Financial Controller will play a key role in driving financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting senior leadership with critical financial insights. They will be working closely with our U. S. partner — a multicultural home care agency dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to their valued clients.Our ideal candidate is someone who is already employed and looking for a second part-time job. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsOversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliationsEnsure timely month-end and year-end close processesLead the development of annual budgets and financial forecastsMonitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysisEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsImplement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policiesWork with department heads to optimize financial performanceMonitor cash flow and manage relationships with banks and financial partnersReview contracts and vendor agreements for financial impactSupervise and mentor accounting or finance staff (if applicable)Collaborate with HR and Operations on payroll and benefits administrationCoordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and legal consultantsManage and organize receipts and expense reports from different departments and team membersEnsure all expenses are properly approved, have receipts and are recordedEnter and maintain expense data in Quick Books and ensure accuracy in financial recordsProvide guidance on best practices for expense tracking and financial managementReview and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with company policiesPrepare monthly expense reports and summaries for management reviewAssist in streamlining financial processes and improving efficiency in record-keepingMaintain confidentiality of sensitive financial informationDevelop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracyIdentify and mitigate financial risksSupport leadership in strategic planning and financial modelingQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a controller or similar leadership roleStrong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingExperience with accounting software such as Quick Books or Wave AppsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience in healthcare, home care, or Medicaid billing is a plusExperience within the US marketWork Schedule:
