At Tall Oaks English Academy, Albox, we are looking for a new teacher to join our friendly and passionate team as we guide children and young people through the process of learning English as a foreign language, having a lot of fun along the way!
As an established academy, we have pre-planned schemes of work adapted to the developmental age and learning needs of each age group, with plans available on a shared Drive, and physical resources ready for use in shared folders in the academy.
The teacher's responsbilities include:
- Ensuring they are fully prepared for the class: familiarising themselves with plans, printing and photocopying any worksheets, preparing any craft materials.
- Teaching the timetabled classes and students, ensuring students participate, behave well and make progress.
- Completion of registers at the beginning of each class.
- Reporting on students' progress twice a year.
- Liaising with other staff should any incidents occur regarding progress or behaviour.
- Must have classroom experience, preferably primary.
- Will preferably be a native English teacher.
While our students are Spanish, it is not necessary to speak Spanish in the classroom as the target language is English.
The timetables and groups are:
- Mondays 4-8pm
- Wednesdays 4-8pm
- Fridays (optional but preferable) 4-8pm
Mondays and Wednesdays:
- 4pm - 3º primaria (8-9 year olds)
- 5pm - 2º primaria (7-8 year olds)
- 6pm - 3º infantil (5-6 year olds)
- 7pm - individual (Mondays adult individual, Wednesdays child individual)
Fridays:
- Recovery classes (various age ranges)
Holidays include 2 weeks for Christmas, 1 week for Easter and the 2 months for the summer (July and August).
We look forward to hearing from you.
