In this pivotal role, you will manage and promote Safety, Health, and Risk Management programs, conduct inductions for employees, ensuring compliance with Spanish legislation while fostering a sustainable preventive culture across our organization.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in line with Spanish regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections, utilizing your attention to detail to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, leveraging your troubleshooting skills to resolve issues and maintain high standards.
- Deliver engaging health and safety training programs, supporting our teams with customer service support and value analysis to highlight the benefits of our safety initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture by leading awareness campaigns, safety committees, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Collaborate as a trusted business partner and consultant with internal teams and external service providers, demonstrating deep customer knowledge and business partnership skills.
- Optimize resource planning to maximize results and achieve performance goals, while actively managing time and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Support asset utilization and cost control by managing resources efficiently and minimizing losses.
Qualifications
- High-level fluency in Spanish and English.
- University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) and a Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention. Specialisation in Occupational Safety & Ergonomics and Psychosocial Risks required.
- Certifications in Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) are highly desirable.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish health & safety regulations is mandatory.
- Good command with Ms Office, AI and computer tools. Ms Excel commands are highly appreciated.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities, with a proven track record in time management.
- Experience in resource planning & optimization, and a keen eye for value analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a business partner and trusted advisor.
- Excellent attention to detail, troubleshooting, and customer service support skills.
