Collaborating with cross-functional global and regional teams, you implement brand strategy that is aligned with our brand vision to drive sustainable growth and to deliver business objectives. You also support profit and loss management and future business development plans and objectives, including new product development and platform opportunities
How you will contribute
You will work with others to execute the brand strategy for designated brands, develop product and packaging initiatives, implement pricing strategies, and plan and execute integrated marketing communication and media plans. You will also provide recommendations for integrated commercial plans and provide input and support in the development and execution of marketing plans to ensure they meet revenue, profit targets, sharing objectives and monitoring performance. Based on your strong understanding of consumer insights, brand strategy and positioning, you ill help develop integrated marketing communications and 360 degree campaigns.

More about this role
We are currently looking for a proactive, fast learner and dynamic self-starter person with a growth mindset who is open to embrace challenges, to join our Bakery Marketing team in Spain. You will be leading very well-known bakery brands such as Fontaneda and Principe (70M€ business with a budget of 3M€) and you will be the main point of contact of Bakery for Mercadona. This role is an exciting opportunity for a person looking to lead with ownership an important business, to challenge the status quo and to get an experience on the full Marketing Mix.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
8. Leading situational analysis & recommending of plans for Fontaneda & Principe
9. Leading the local development with excellence of the brand activations and communication
10. Developing plans that are routed in strong consumer insight
11. Full mix responsibility developing integrated 360 marketing campaigns
12. Lead the plan with new opportunities for the coming years for Fontaneda and Principe
13. Lead the development of local innovations for the business
14. Collaborate with agencies and other cross-functional teams
15. Manage portfolio related projects (line extension, PPAs, LPI)
16. Brand Presentation and alignment of plans
17. Lead, motivate and develop a team of 1 ABM and 2 trainees
What extra ingredients you will bring:
18. Minimum of 8 years of proven brand marketing or similar experience, preferably in the FMCG sector and in matrix organizations
19. Strong analytical skills, leadership to stand alone and a creative mindset
20. Business acumen beyond brand and budget, including P&L responsibility.
21. Problem solver, with growth mindset and highly proactive person
22. Ability to manage complex projects individually from design to completion with attention to details and action oriented mindset
23. Eager to learn, with a can-do attitude, with high level of autonomy and good problem solving skills
24. Excellent communication and presentation skills
25. We like people who aren’t afraid to stand alone, who deal with ambiguity instead of ignoring it and who know how to approach any problem, no matter how difficult.
26. Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Education / Certifications:
27. University Degree in Marketing or/and Economics
