Business Development Sales Executive
Our client is a rapidly scaling software company transforming the retail sector through innovative technology solutions. Our platform helps retailers optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive revenue growth. With a strong presence in multiple markets and ambitious expansion plans, we are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. The role will be based in Barcelona and working on a national level across Spain.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and closing deals with retail clients. You will be responsible for building a strong sales pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and contributing directly to revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, target, and engage prospective clients within the retail sector
* Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and partnerships
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
* Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads
* Conduct product presentations and tailor solutions to client needs
* Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize revenue
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value propositions
* Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and forecasts
* Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements
* 2–5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role (preferably in SaaS or retail tech)
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Experience managing the full sales cycle
* Self-starter with a proactive and results-driven mindset
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
* Native-level of Spanish is strongly preferred, Catalan is a strong plus and fluency in English is required.
* Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona
