We are working with a product-led company looking to hire a Senior Rails Developer to play a key role in scaling and evolving their backend systems. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact across engineering and product.
The Role:
As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer, you’ll be instrumental in building and maintaining core systems that support a high-scale, always-on platform.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Developing and maintaining backend systems and internal tools
* Translating business goals into scalable technical solutions
* Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving live systems (24/7 environment)
* Building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for smoother deployments
* Driving improvements in architecture, performance, and scalability
* Integrating and maintaining third-party APIs
What We’re Looking For:
* 10+ years of commercial experience with Ruby on Rails
* Experience working on high-scale, production systems
* Strong understanding of software design principles & best practices
* Proven ability to think strategically and align tech with business goals
* Ownership mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
* Strong communication skills (English)
* Experience working with large datasets and third-party integrations
Nice to Have:
* Experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Hotwire
* Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks
* Experience integrating payment providers
* Knowledge of mobile ad monetisation ecosystems
* Strong background in unit & integration testing
