Cybersecurity Program & Global Energy Management System for SCADA Control

Position Summary
This internship will offer the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the fields of plant infrastructure, operating systems, cybersecurity, and energy management, contributing to the development, optimization, and security of our systems. Intern will support and assist network, and cybersecurity leads on implementing a cybersecurity
program as well as supporting network engineers and system admin on day-to-day plants commissioning work. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the fields of infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and energy control systems.
Responsibilities
Plant Infrastructure & Operating Systems Support:
* Assist in the maintenance and improvement of plant infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of physical and virtual systems.
* Support in the administration and optimization of operating systems used in the plant environment.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to servers, networks, and hardware.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to document and streamline processes for system upgrades, patches, and improvements.
* Provide technical support and troubleshoot plant infrastructure-related queries.
Cybersecurity Program &Global Energy Management System for SCADA Control Support:
* Assist in cybersecurity assessments, identifying vulnerabilities in plant systems and supporting the development of remediation plans.
* Help ensure that security measures for global energy management systems (including SCADA controls) are up to date and fully compliant.
* Assist in monitoring network traffic and system access to detect security breaches and support incident response activities.
* Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to research and implement best practices for SCADA control security.
* Help with the integration of security protocols into operational technology (OT) environments.
Requirements
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of plant infrastructure, operating systems, and/or SCADA control systems is a plus.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and familiarity with network security concepts.
* Proficiency in using tools such as Linux, Windows Server, and basic programming/scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
* Eager to learn and help team members.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (Spanish and English).
* Focus on the internal customer aiming to provide the best service to them.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose practical solutions.
