Job Description
* Ensure strong financial Management within a robust control environment.
* Have ultimate responsibility for accurate accounting records and provide financial reports for the hotels. The hotels are operated on a self-accounting basis and includes managing owner accounting.
* Manage the finance relationship with operations and finance at hotels and head office ensuring that an excellent service is provided through quality input.
* Manage the relevant elements of our owner and asset managers relationships.
* Responsibility for accurate VAT daily and monthly reporting to Spanish tax authorities that will monthly consolidate into group VAT return.
* Responsibility for Payroll accounting, reporting and analysis of variations to forecast / budget proactively anticipating right level of staffing across departments in line with revenue variations.
* Ensure monthly and quarterly Spanish reporting related to employees and freelancers Income Tax, employee salary withheld, property rent withheld tax is accurate and submitted as per Spanish authorities deadlines.
* Lead all elements related to balance sheets, P&L, cashflow, capital, amongst others.
* Provide focused, innovative and value-adding management reporting and analysis.
* Deliver high quality management information and performance measurement that is accurate and relevant.
* Ensure reporting that incorporates benchmarking and identification and measurement of key performance indicators.
* Optimize and develop systems to improve efficiency and information.
* Ensure training take place for users; challenge processes to eliminate non-value adding tasks.
* Work with colleagues to ensure that errors are corrected at source and processes amended as required, eliminating rather than correcting errors.
* Lead the planning and forecasting process for both Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza and ensure that financial plans are consistent with the strategic objectives.
* Pro-actively support the General Manager and Executive Committee in hotel strategic planning, focusing on value and opportunities.
* Manage the annual Budget submission to Head Office and Ownership within the hotel.
* Lead, develop and inspire a high-quality finance team and support leadership of purchasing team.
* Actively plan for succession to develop and replace individuals effectively.
* Develop effectiveness of the finance function through continuous training and development of the team. Lead and motivate the team to high levels of performance.

* 5 plus years of hotel finance experience, ideally already in Finance Manager / Director of Finance role.
* Strong knowledge and experience of operating requirements from a financial and legal perspective on Spanish financial requirements.
* Technical skills, with a strong understanding of compliance- requirements, best practice hotel operations, finance functions set up and standard system.
* A balance between methodical and process-driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
* Knowledge of Ibiza market and experience in seasonal hotels would be an advantage.
