Purpose

The role, with an important Fintech component, is part of the Legal team and manages and advises on risk and legal liability for the group—ensuring we achieve the strong growth plans of the company as a Travel Tech Company.
Expected Deliveries

Assist the Fintech/Insurtech Team with the set‑up and implementation of Fintech/Insurtech initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring effective development of strategic projects.
Advise the Fintech/Insurtech Team on day‑to‑day business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective and considering the regulatory framework worldwide, providing preventive counselling on legal requirements and identifying, monitoring and advising upon legal risks within the area.
Responsibilities

Provide legal assistance to the Fintech/Insurtech Team on the risks of new initiatives from commercial and regulatory perspectives.
Monitor new regulations and their impact on HBX activities.
Advise on day‑to‑day business decisions, provide preventive counselling and review contracts, especially focusing on regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with other functions (Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security…) to give aligned and complete advice to the Fintech/Insurtech Group.
Review and reshape current ways of working, aligning with the fast‑paced and evolving environment of HBX, by improving, simplifying and designing guidelines and scalable processes and protocols with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication in English and, desirable, Spanish.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadline pressures.
Risk management experience.
Good negotiation skills and ability to handle difficult situations with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail.
Autonomy.
Ability to cross‑connect issues with different functions.

Flexibility, agility and adaptability to change.
Experience

Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar or related roles.
Previous experience working as in‑house counsel in a multinational company and dealing with Fintech matters. Experience in Fintech departments of a law firm will be valued.
Experience working in a multinational and multicultural environment.
Qualifications

A law degree from a reputable institution (required).
Master or specialization in Fintech Law (desirable).
Experience in Legal Fintech (required).
Experience in Data Protection (desirable).
Business‑level proficiency in English (required).
Other languages will be valued.
