Overview
The LLP-4PL Control Tower is a central hub offering end-to-end supply chain management and visibility with real-time analytics to control and improve logistics performance and overall logistics costs.
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of logistics professionals in a challenging environment with tight lead times, strict quality specifications and sector regulations
- Developing processes to manage international cargo movements, using the DHL Transport Management System (TMS) linked to different customer solutions and ERPs
- Supporting the definition of relevant performance KPIs and target levels, owning accountability to meet service speed and quality
- Managing and developing the capabilities of the control tower team through active leadership, succession planning, business expertise and change management
- Achieving and maintaining sustainable productivity levels for the Control Tower
- Collaborating with stakeholders to provide the best supply chain solution and supporting agreed savings targets for the business unit
- Validating and managing the implementation of new business and service improvements from an operational perspective before launch
- Collaborating with the Value Creation team to develop continuous improvement concepts to meet and exceed customer needs
- Collaborating with Procurement and Carrier Management to provide operational support for transport purchasing and carrier management
- Collaborating with Warehousing Management to support the warehousing improvement agenda
- Operational customer management with defined customer representatives
- Deputy for the Head of Account as required by the business
Requirements For The Job
Mandatory
- Senior knowledge of supply chain, materials management and transport
- At least 5 years of experience in supervision/management in freight transport or in a logistics environment
- Experience operating a 3PL or 4PL operation using a Transport Management System integrated with customer systems
- Proven record of successful team management, active leadership, and team engagement
- Fluent in Spanish and English (English is the business language)

- Ability to work in a matrix organization with diverse cultures and wide international geographical spread
- Very good teamwork and presentation skills
- International road cargo experience, including customs regulations
- Experience in temperature-controlled transport
- Experience in Food & Beverage sector, including European regulations
