As a critical member of the engineering team, you'll support infrastructure for engineering, data science, and bioinformatics teams. You'll collaborate across teams in a testing environment to shape the product, working in an environment designed to keep you focused without endless meetings or reports. We seek a world-class engineer with a pragmatic, no-drama approach to solving complex problems.
Your role will include guiding technology decisions for development infrastructure, balancing cutting-edge and proven solutions, with attention to maintainability, scalability, cost, and innovation.
Location:
Spain (remote) Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage AWS infrastructure
2. Collaborate with multiple teams (create repositories, Jenkins scripts, etc.)
3. Question existing setups to improve infrastructure, processes, or cost efficiency
4. Keep up with industry trends to improve the tech stack
5. Monitor servers
6. Maintain hardware and software inventory
7. Implement security initiatives and monitor overall security (information, servers, users, etc.)
Job Competencies & Personal Attributes:
* Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS) and containerization
* Skilled in designing, deploying, and orchestrating container solutions
* Proficient in Python and GraphQL;
experienced with PostgreSQL
* Experience with automated cloud deployments using Ansible and Jenkins (CI/CD)
* Design scalable, maintainable, reliable, and high-performance systems
* Apply DevOps best practices, including TDD and CI
* Solid understanding of secure DevOps practices and always-on infrastructure
* Fast learner with a proactive and adaptable attitude
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
