We have several positions open in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) for different Space businesses: Launchers (Ariane6, Vega-C and Vega-E), Earth Exploration (Copernicus missions and PAZ-2), Space Exploration (Artemis), and Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites). The candidate will be part of the project and has the main mission to establish a test strategy to verify that electronic units meet the requirements specified by the customer, in accordance with project schedule, cost and quality requirements. In day‑to‑day activities the candidate will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the Technical Manager, Product Assurance Manager, the Industrial Manager, the Validation Manager and the EEE/PCB Manager.
Task and accountabilities
* Active participation in technical discussions with the customer during the Negotiation Phase, from pre‑kick‑off to in‑flight operations.
* Assist the Project Manager in requirement assessment and risk identification.
* Collaborate with the Technical Manager to define the architecture of the Flight Unit and optimise Ground Equipment designs focusing on a Design‑for‑Testing philosophy.
* Lead the requirement assessment to define the EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment) architecture.
* Support the Technical Manager for technical issue resolution with experts as needed under quality and programme rules.
* Document and report Design Validation of the Flight Unit in Verification Control Documents, Test Procedures and Reports to support design robustness at various milestones.
* Support Test Engineers during integration, qualification and acceptance test campaigns for flight models (EQM, QM, PFM, FMs) including development of jigs (tooling, vibration and thermal fixtures).
* Ensure close monitoring of deviations, evolutions or discrepancies from the agreed design during the recurrent phase.
* Maintain agreed verification hours.
* Establish a customer‑oriented trust relationship with proactive and continuous support to demonstrate confidence in the design.
Required skills
* Master's degree or equivalent in engineering or science.
* At least five years of experience in validation and verification of electronic units.
* Negotiation‑level proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
* Technical excellence and challenge spirit.
* Digital mindset: automation, scripting, digital design tools and simulators.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills (internal and external).
* Customer‑oriented.
* Strong teamwork and cooperation spirit.
* Ability to propose practical, constructive and innovative solutions.
* Independent and autonomous work style.
Recommended skills
* Knowledge of space environment constraints and European space regulations (ESCC, SMD, etc.).
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
* Technical knowledge of advanced test instrumentation to foster testing automation (scripts and data management).
* Willingness to learn and teach others.
