Spanish Accounting & Accounts Payable Analyst
As the Spanish Accounting & Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the company, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and General Accounting (80%), and a supporting role in Payroll review and compliance (20%) .
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & General Accounting (80%)
Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and timely payments in compliance with internal controls and Spanish regulations.
Review and validate vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and alignment with purchase orders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP ledgers and assist in monthly reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax reporting.
Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Payroll Review & Compliance (20%)
Review monthly payroll calculations prepared by ADP to ensure accuracy and compliance with Spanish labor laws and internal policies.
Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, leaves (maternity/paternity/sick), and garnishments.
Reconcile payroll reports and ensure alignment with accounting records.
Assist in the review of Social Security contributions and tax filings (e.g., models 111, 190, 296).
Maintain payroll-related documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
