Our team seeks an experienced Principal Technical Sales & Consulting Specialist to join our Professional Services and Consulting Services team. This high-impact role involves consulting with agency customers on product upgrades, implementation, and technology integrations, driving strategic direction for a leading global travel technology company.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Map customer needs to Sabre solutions, generating differentiated value and opportunities for value exchange.
* Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to showcase Sabre products and APIs aligned with customer needs.
* Act as the voice of the customer, collaborating internally with sales and product teams to propose solution changes that enhance efficiency or adoption.
* Own the end-to-end technical integration consulting process, engaging experts within Sabre as needed. Provide support on structuring Web-Service payloads in XML during customer integrations.
* Advocate for customers by resolving complex technical issues affecting implementation, operation, and utilization of Sabre products. Offer best practice consulting to maximize solution benefits.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* Deep understanding of the travel industry, including challenges from content fragmentation and distribution models.
* Strong leadership skills in consultative or collaborative environments, aligning customer and internal objectives.
* Awareness of cost, financial, and budget considerations impacting solutions and customer deals.
* Excellent communication skills and assertiveness to confidently recommend technical solutions to high-level decision makers.
* Innovative thinking with the ability to approach situations from diverse perspectives and communicate effectively across cultures and responsibilities.
* Proven technical experience in customer-facing roles, especially in ecommerce environments, with knowledge of GDS and travel APIs.
* Hands-on experience with GDS products and APIs, including SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, and Web Scripting languages.
* Experience with Sabre APIs using tools like Soap or Postman. Previous development experience is a plus.
* Native language and cultural familiarity preferred.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

* Experience in an Online Travel Agency or eCommerce environment.
