Project Manager based in Los Amigos Beach Club, Mijas Costa (Málaga)
We are recruiting a full time Project Manager 40 hour on a permanent contract to join our team.
We are currently seeking a personto join our Development & Construction team in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in construction project management, ideally within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads projects from initiation to closeout, including design, bidding, contracting, renovation, and construction with external partners.
- Coordinates with internal teams and regional leadership to align efforts with long-term strategic plans.
- Align projects with long-term strategic plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Monitor and manage multi-year reserve plans with Resort Operations.
- Prepare and review contracts, budgets, schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and accessibility regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, manage procurement processes, and negotiate contracts.
- Liaise with local authorities and support legal requirements for permits and registrations.
- Provide regular updates on project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Uphold company values and complete all required training and compliance tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities::
- Have achieved a technical degree in a building related subject is preferred Architecture.
- Experienced Technical Architect with 5–7 years of industry experience and 2+ years in management or supervisory roles.
- Ability to advise on architectural and building services issues.
- Influencing skills – ability to engender trust and support and to interact with people across the business at various levels.
- Excellent communication skills, sense of humor and approachable.
- Knowledge of building defects analysis.
- Strong demonstration of cost analysis of refurbishment and building repair works.
- Proficient in Microsoft word programs.
- Strong demonstration of project planning skills; Microsoft Project.
- Previous experience of working with the Hospitality Industry is preferred, but not essential.
- Candidates should be aware that the role involves extensive travel due to the resort locations and should be prepared to be away from home for up to 2-3 days a week.
- Occasional overseas visits for European team meetings and project assistance is also a requirement of the role.
- Languages: Spanish and English – Fluent (Bilingual proficiency)
