Our client is seeking a proactive and detail‐oriented Media and Public Relations Coordinator to support their communications efforts in Almería, Andalusia, ES. This role is key to enhancing our company's reputation and ensuring effective communication with media outlets and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of media relations strategies and public relations campaigns.
Monitor media coverage and industry news, compiling relevant reports for the communications team.
Draft press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
Pitch stories to journalists and media contacts to secure positive coverage.
Coordinate media interviews and manage press events.
Maintain and update media contact databases.
Support social media management and engagement efforts.
Assist in crisis communication planning and response.
Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns and events.
Help manage relationships with external PR agencies if applicable.
Track and report on the effectiveness of PR initiatives.
Qualifications
Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or a related communications role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
Strong understanding of media landscapes and journalistic practices.
Experience with media monitoring tools and techniques.
Ability to draft compelling press materials.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Familiarity with social media platforms for professional use.
Proactive attitude and a keen interest in media trends.
