From Hays, we are seeking a Sales Manager for an important automotive company focused on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) systems, based in Madrid.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy in both national and international markets, managing key relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and other stakeholders within the automotive sector. This role will have a strategic impact on the company's growth, driving business development and the expansion of its customer portfolio.
Main Responsibilities
* Define and execute the commercial strategy for the HVAC product line within the automotive sector.
* Manage and develop relationships with key clients, including OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
* Identify new business opportunities and lead prospecting activities and market entry processes.
* Negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and techno‑economic conditions.
* Collaborate closely with the Engineering, Product, and Operations departments to ensure the correct delivery of solutions to clients.
* Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to propose improvements and new solutions.
* Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and commercial KPIs.
* Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and international meetings.
Requirements
* At least
5–7 years
of prior experience in commercial roles within the automotive sector.
* Knowledge of the
HVAC
business or thermal/energy systems applied to automotive (highly valued).
* Experience managing OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
* Results‑oriented profile with strong negotiation skills and strategic vision.
* High level of
English
