Industrial Engineering Manager – Valls Plant | Lear Corporation (E-Systems Division)
Lear Corporation is looking for an experienced and driven Industrial Engineering Manager to lead a skilled team at our E-Systems plant in Valls. The plant is a flagship electronics facility with 55 years of operational excellence, established in 1970, employing over 500 people across four production buildings and specializing in advanced electronic modules such as BCMs, Junction Boxes, Gateways, and Electrification components for premium automotive brands.
In this role, you’ll directly manage 5 engineers and provide strategic leadership to a broader team of 35 industrial engineers. Your responsibilities include driving new product industrialization, process optimization, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop 5 direct reports and a wider team of 35 engineers
- Drive industrialization of new products and production lines
- Optimize manufacturing processes (including SMT, automation, testing)
- Ensure timely launches and continuous improvement
- Manage investments, equipment reuse, and cost‑efficiency initiatives
- Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and strong documentation
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Industrial Engineering (Master’s is a plus)
- Proven leadership in engineering/manufacturing environments
- Fluent English; excellent communication and organizational skills
- Automotive background, ideally in electronics
- Proactive, hands‑on, and results‑driven mindset
