Summary
Location: Barcelona
In this role, you will transform business requirements into IT solution design specifications, ensuring solutions meet customer expectations while being safe, reliable, scalable, and flexible. You will advise on improving global business processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. Additionally, you will collaborate with global business leaders and DDIT teams to identify requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations to enhance efficiency and value.
Role Responsibilities
* Ensure alignment and traceability between user requirements, functional specs, and testing & validation, supporting validation and testing, and adhering to security and compliance policies.
* Stay updated on internal IT systems, documentation standards, regulatory requirements, DDIT service portfolio, and industry best practices, including testing specifications.
* Develop project rationale and conduct scoping assessments to evaluate project feasibility.
* Identify gaps in existing functionalities and review requirements with stakeholders.
* Create comprehensive requirement specifications, estimating costs, time, and resources; develop financial models including costs, savings, and revenue opportunities.
* Liaise with service development teams to propose high-level functional solutions.
* Involve relevant stakeholders in defining new or upgraded services.
* Design solutions considering user experience and ensure solutions meet specifications and are fit for purpose, supporting super user training.
Role Requirements
* University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or similar.
* At least 6+ years of experience in Pharma or IT industry.
* Experience in Lab IT domain.
* Background as a business analyst, process expert, business IT lead superuser, or Lab data/Digital specialist.
* Good understanding of business process analysis, system architecture, and lab business processes; drug development experience is a plus.
* Knowledge of GXP, 21CFR Part 11, CSV lifecycle, Lab systems including LIMS, and Chromatography systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills for complex business and information challenges.
* Proficient in working with global teams, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Desirable
* Experience in TRD and familiarity with TRD business processes.
