As Media Services & PR Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of all media services across The Ocean Race events, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for international media.
You will play a key role in supporting the organisation's growth ambitions by enabling strong media coverage, facilitating access, and delivering impactful press operations across all Host Cities.
What You'll Be Doing
With the Communications Director, manage and coordinate PR agencies across different markets, ensuring alignment, consistency, and effective delivery of media and communication strategies.
Lead the planning and delivery of Media Services across all events and Host Cities
Oversee the setup and operations of Media Centres, ensuring high service standards
Coordinate media logistics, including press boats and onboard media opportunities
Act as main liaison with Host Cities for all media services planning and delivery
Manage and execute media accreditation processes and maintain segmented media databases
Coordinate key media moments (press conferences, mixed zones, interviews, arrivals)
Support the production and distribution of press materials (press packs, fact sheets, content)
Organise and host press trips and media/influencer activations
Collaborate closely with editorial, PR teams, and external partners
Impact of the Role
Ensure high-quality, efficient and professional media operations across all events
Enable increased global media coverage and audience reach
Contribute to the growth and positioning of The Ocean Race as a leading global sports property
