This role focuses on individuals with military experience and/or spouses and children interested in working in the private sector. The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps vital machinery running at all times. As an RME Technician, you will maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding Health and Safety best practices. You will help keep colleagues safe, prevent machine downtime, and enhance the operational environment.
Key job responsibilities
Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment.
Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
Support the development and progression of on‑site apprentices.
Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites.
A day in the life of an RME Technician involves responding quickly to machinery issues, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, investigating breakdowns, and implementing solutions promptly. You will also suggest long‑term improvements and work alongside senior colleagues to undertake day‑to‑day maintenance tasks. Shifts are arranged to support the site around the clock, including early and late hours.

They maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across the global network of fulfilment centres and ensure buildings remain legally compliant and sites operate at maximum efficiency. Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
NVQ Level 3 / SVQ Level 3 / IVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 / EAL Level 3 specialized in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
4 years of UK certified apprenticeship in a relevant engineering subject.
Experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
Work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards and OEM specifications.
Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
Experience in condition‑based monitoring.
Experience with print and apply machines.
Experience in fault‑finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems. xpzdshu
