We are seeking ambitious sales professionals with MedTech / device and clinical trial experience who are looking for a new challenge.
The role of Director, Business Development includes the following responsibilities :
* Be accountable for achieving an individual annual target.
* Independently lead the sales process, including planning and implementing sales activities.
* Assist in identifying bid defense team participants and educate them on client culture, operational needs / methods, and sales techniques to close sales.
* Identify potential accounts that could become global key accounts.
* Lead the preparation of sponsor presentations, including general capabilities and bid defense presentations.
* Understand and identify potential growth areas for Avania through market research and knowledge of the competitive landscape.
The Director, Business Development is an individual contributor role focused on new account acquisition and business development. It offers the opportunity to sell our full-service capabilities and expertise in the exciting MedTech / device sector.
This role can be based in either Europe or the United Kingdom.

Candidates with the following skills, knowledge, and experience are encouraged to apply :
* At least 5 years of CRO sales, commercial, or client relationship experience with a proven record of selling complex multi-service offerings, combined with strategic thinking and business acumen.
* A hunter and proven new business winner.
* Ability to independently lead regional sales strategy and processes.
* Ability to provide the VP with regular metrics.
* Proven experience in lead generation.
* In-depth knowledge of how a CRO operates, gained from working within a full-service CRO.
