Overview
ICT INFRASTRUCTURE RESIDENT SITE ENGINEER – MADRID, SPAIN OR DUBLIN, IRELAND (TO BE SECONDED TO FINLAND)
RED Engineering Design is expanding as an international M&E consultancy focused on low energy design and delivering design solutions to clients. The role is based on client construction sites, primarily in Western Europe, with potential for wider international travel. The position includes a secondment to Finland. Ideally, the candidate will have multilingual capabilities in a leading European language in addition to English.
The successful candidate will have robust technical knowledge related to building services design and experience applicable to the data centre sector, with good commercial awareness. ICT / telecommunications experience may come from international consulting engineering practice, an ICT systems or services contractor or manufacturer (e.G., fibre optic data cabling), systems integration, or related building services engineering industries. You will work closely with the RED Engineering design team and other project stakeholders, including other design disciplines, contractors, cost consultants, and project managers.
Responsibilities
* Lead complex ICT data centre builds from the ground up
* Represent RED with elite engineering and construction teams
* Work hands-on with clients to shape mission-critical facilities
Qualifications
* Data centre / critical facility experience
* Drive to deliver world-class engineering solutions
* Good commercial awareness and robust technical knowledge of building services design
* ICT / telecommunications experience gained from relevant sectors (e.G., international consulting, ICT systems contractors, fibre optics, systems integration)
