Desert Springs Resort & Golf Club is Europe’s only international award-winning luxury family resort and championship desert golf course. Located in the Almeria region of Andalucía, south-east Spain, Desert Springs enjoys the warmest, sunniest and driest winter of the whole of the coast of Spain and Europe. Desert Springs Golf Club has hosted several professional golf tournaments including seven iterations of the 2nd Stage of DP World Tour Qualifying.
The Golf Operations & Sales Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the Golf Club whilst ensuring the high standards of Client satisfaction and presentation of the Golf Club facilities are achieved in line with the levels expected by Senior Management and associated with Desert Springs Resort and Golf Club.
Responsibility for increasing existing and creating new income streams for the Golf Club alongside managing the Reception and Caddy Master, whilst working closely with the various Accommodation, Restaurant and Golf Maintenance Teams.
Annually the Manager is required to prepare, present, and execute an approved annual Golf Club Budget, outlining the income and expenditure expectation for the year ahead.
* Proactively develop and be accountable for the implementation of the golf sales and marketing strategy to continually increase golf revenue.
* Take ownership and develop the budget and business plan for the Golf Club.
* Maintain a clear understanding of the Club’s financial position throughout the year through day-to-day tracking, in order to control expenses in relation to revenues and identify opportunities and weaknesses.
* Oversees golf operations including, reception and caddy master operations, player service operations, tournaments, rules, tee sheet activity, merchandise inventory, range operations, cart fleet.
* Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction. Create a customer service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and meets the needs of members and guests. Ensure that your team provide a outstanding level of customer service.
