ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER

We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a space system engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.
You will be part of the Electronic Development Area. This area is in charge of the design of electronic devices and products for the space segment, ground segment as well as support tools (GSE). You will be responsible for the design and verification of new electronic products based mainly on embedded systems.
What you will be doing?
1. Analysis of high-level mission requirements.
2. Risk analysis.
3. High-level design of electronic devices based on microcontrollers, FPGAs, and radio transceivers
4. Component selection and procurement assistance.
5. Schematic and PCB design.
6. Design and execution of a verification plan.
7. Prototype testing and formal product acceptance.
8. Generation of documentation related to the designed products.
9. Evaluation and implementation of customized modifications to Alén Space's existing products.
10. Technical support to the sales team, including client meetings during the decision-making phase.
11. Technical support to the after-sales team, including customer meetings.
12. Participation in technical follow-up meetings and progress reporting to the project manager.
What do we need in our team
13. The applicant must be fluent in English.
14. Two years of experience in electronic design.
15. Knowledge of digital, analog and power electronics design.
16. Knowledge of electronic design automation (EDA) software such as: Altium Designer.
17. Use of basic (multimeter, oscilloscope) and advanced (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer) test equipment.
Valuable knowledge:
18. High density PCB design (> 4 layers).
19. Experience in signal integrity for high speed.
20. Design for EMC compatibility.
21. Knowledge of certain tools for test development: embedded C, C++, python, Bash, git.
22. Knowledge of ECSS standards.

23. Work remotely 20 % of the time
