Your area of responsibility
* Develop and implement system concepts and circuit topologies for the control and supervision of electrical drive systems in robotics and e-mobility, ensuring compliance with functional safety standards
* Derive electronic component requirements from system-level specifications in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners
* Design microcontroller-based digital and analog circuits, including concept development, schematic design, PCB layout, and prototyping
* Document development results related to functional safety in accordance with applicable standards
* Validate and test mechatronic systems, with a focus on electronic subassemblies
* Drive and support the certification process of electronic systems in line with normative requirements
This job is perfect for you if you...
* hold a degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
* have at least three years of experience developing electronic circuits in a similar role
* have in-depth knowledge of relevant functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849; optionally ISO 26262, EN 61800, IEC 62443), prior experience with functional safety is essential
* have solid hands-on experience in designing and implementing microcontroller-based digital and analog circuits, preferably for electric drive systems
* are proficient in tools and methods such as hazard and risk analysis (HARA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and diagnostic coverage assessment
* enjoy working independently while collaborating with dynamic, interdisciplinary project teams
* communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
