Open Gateway has an area called “Go To Developers” which includes two organizations: “Devrel Team” and “University and Scholarship Team”. You will be part of the “Devrel Team”. Your manager will be Laura, with whom you will have frequent 1:1 meetings.
We organize our work using a Kanban system. Every week, we hold a meeting to plan our tasks.
Your daily activities will include checking the Kanban for ongoing tasks such as demos, documentation, actions on the developer hub, and supporting other areas to accomplish goals. You will have support from the devrel team, product team, engineering team, and marketing team. Design and videos are handled by the marketing team.
Work Schedule
This position offers 5 hours per day with flexible hours, prioritizing work-life balance. We value organization and delivery. Meetings are scheduled from 10 am to 5 pm, and we avoid meetings on Fridays. Typically, the team meets in the office on Thursdays for the Open Gateway meeting. The team is based across Spain, including Barcelona, Granada, Bilbao, with the Devrel team based in Madrid. Full remote work will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Propose updates and identify needs to engage developers through tools like devhub, sandbox, and devportal.
* Create developer-facing documentation, demos, training materials, videos, reels, and presentations related to Open Gateway’s APIs to foster community growth. Content will be published on our website and social networks.
* Motivate and assist internal and external developers in creating content about Open Gateway.
* Present at tech events about Open Gateway.
* Attend tech events to connect with communities and generate leads for go-to-market strategies.
* Form alliances with companies and communities to increase awareness.
* Coordinate with other departments to build good relations, offer support, gather feedback, and foster collaborations.
* Participate in the development of the devrel strategy.
Qualifications
* You love programming and teaching.
* You are fluent in reading and writing languages like Python, Node.js, or React.
* You are fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
* You are skilled at communicating and meeting new people.
* You have strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
* You enjoy teamwork and have good communication skills, interacting with multidisciplinary teams daily.
Bonus points if you are an active member of software communities in your region.
