Remote Site Project Technical Expert

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia or EU home country. Able to travel internationally up to 30 % of working time.
Responsibilities
Collect technical documents from the design team, prepare or collect test procedures, and follow up all logistics (secure site access process, visa, etc.).
Ensure consistency in site activities across similar sites in terms of methods, tools, and processes.
Prepare full package for Installation & Commissioning Site Activities (costing, planning, set‑up, method statement, risk assessment, etc.) as technical support for B‑Cat projects.
At tendering stage, based on documents prepared by the Tender Team, prepare a detailed planning of site activities, org chart, definition of required staff (quantity and skills), and need of tools (identification and budget).
In close coordination with the Tender Technical Leader, propose technical solutions for optimizing site activity offers during the installation and commissioning phases.
Analyze or prepare method statements related to installation and quality control of internal and external supplies, supported by quality experts.
Participate in technical reviews (from the basic design phase) and, based on expertise, assess site risks and propose optimized solutions.
Ensure that all needed tools/files are ready to use and define how to use them, with support of the Project Manager (event tracker, KPI, delivery tracking, timesheet templates, document follow‑up file).
List all the design and operational documents required by the field service engineer and add them to the document list under the support of the document manager.
When necessary, prepare test scripts or ITP dedicated to project requirements.
Manage tools for site activities: responsible for management of our tools and test equipment on site; identify and anticipate any potential lack of tools.
Follow up on non‑quality issues raised during installation and commissioning activities and transfer them to the concerned suppliers or quality department.
Coordinate site activities in close cooperation with the Project Manager and Technical Leader, including kick‑off meetings, punch‑list tracking, supplier notifications, and communication with factories.
Prepare REX/ Lessons Learned files for the installation and commissioning part, benchmark customer experience, and build improvement plans.
Provide remote technical assistance to internal and external teams before and during their mission on site.
On request, consult applicable standards concerning assembly and testing activities.
Gather and communicate needs in terms of developing products, solutions, services, in coordination with concerned departments.
Qualifications
Education: Electrical technician with a minimal bachelor degree.
Language: English (C1 level mandatory); other languages are an advantage.
Experience: Ten (10) years of experience, including at least five (5) years in on‑site electromechanical testing.
Skill Requirements
Good software literacy: MS Office (including MS Project); Primavera basic knowledge is an advantage; Acrobat, AutoCAD, Outlook, testing device software (Omicron or equivalent); protection relays setting software.
Knowledge of medium‑ and low‑voltage equipment, power stations, and latest commissioning test principles.
Knowledge of distribution protection systems, SCADA and control systems is a plus.
Knowledge of data center applications and electrical networks.
