About the role
Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a sommelier to join our team. We are looking for a professional that shares a passion for exceptional service and who infuses enthusiasm and passion into everything he or she does.
What you will do
* Advise the guest on wine selection and supervise the day‑to‑day wine service.
* Select and consolidate the wine list by adhering to the budget, beverage cost, guests’ requests and the concept of the outlet.
* Conduct staff training on product knowledge weekly and work closely with the restaurant general manager and chef for product development.
* Maintain weekly and monthly wine inventories of all F&B outlets.
* Assist servers with wine service.
* Check back with guests to assure their satisfaction.
* Keep in contact with the wine storeroom to ensure availability and correctness of products.
* Experience with and knowledge of Spanish cuisine and wines is highly preferred.
What you bring
* Previous sommelier experience in a fine dining setting.
* A self‑starter, positive attitude and ability to work comfortably alongside a team of Food & Beverage professionals.
* Strong communication skills for contact with clients and various hotel departments.
* Knowledge of wines and food pairing.
* Legal right to work in Spain, fluency in English and Spanish.
